T-72AV Ace
The T-72AV is an upgraded version of the T-72A Main Battle Tank, which, along with its export siblings called T-72M and T-72M1, is one of the most common T-72 variants in the world. In 1985, the tank was equipped with Kontakt-1 Explosive Reactive Armor, providing protection against HEAT rounds and missiles of that time. You can read about it in a dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the T-72AV Ace is a Tier 5 Premium Main Battle Tank. Gameplay-wise, it’s a typical Soviet close range vehicle. It is mobile, can take a lot of damage and it has a powerful gun but it is not an accurate sniper, making it perform best at close ranges. The T-72AV Ace is suitable for players who prefer to have an advantage over their opponents in close quarters. This tank comes with a special Ace permanent brown, desert-style camouflage, inspired by the ongoing conflict in Syria.

BMD-2 Ace
Developed for the Soviet Airborne infantry in the early 1980s, the BMD-2 is light air-transportable armored fighting vehicle, armed with a 30mm cannon as well as a guided missile launcher. Fast, small and nimble, it’s one of the most effective scouts of its Tier. You can learn more about it in a dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the BMD-2 Ace is a Tier 5 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. While not as durable as the BMP-2, it is agile and nimble. Its missiles provide it with enough of a punch to make it an effective killer, but where this vehicle truly shines is scouting thanks to its small size and high mobility. This vehicle comes with a special Ace green and white winter camouflage, inspired by the Russian one seen on the vehicles participating in the war in Chechnya.

Object 187 Dragon
The Object 187 was a Soviet era program, developed to improve upon the excellent but ageing T-72 Main Battle Tank. Several prototypes were built, featuring a number of advanced elements compared to the older Soviet tanks, such as the new long 125mm smoothbore gun with a typical muzzle brake. The result was an excellent MBT that was, however, never mass-produced due to the 1990s Russian military budget cuts – the Russian army chose a less advanced but cheaper T-90 instead. In Armored Warfare, the Object 187 is a typical Russian style Main Battle Tank – it’s suitable for an aggressive play style and is a good choice for the players who prefer to take on their opponents at close ranges.
