Developed for the Soviet Airborne infantry in the early 1980s, the BMD-2 is light air-transportable armored fighting vehicle, armed with a 30mm cannon as well as a guided missile launcher. In Armored Warfare, the BMD-2 is a Tier 5 AFV. While not as durable as the BMP-2, it is agile and nimble. Its missiles provide it with enough of a punch to make it an effective killer, but where this vehicle truly shines is scouting thanks to its small size and high mobility.

The Challenger 1 Main Battle Tank has always been a rather unique vehicle amongst the NATO forces. For one, it kept a rifled 120mm cannon when the rest of NATO switched to 120mm smoothbore shells. On the battlefield, however, it has proven to be a tough vehicle, completely outclassing its Soviet era opponents during Operation Desert Storm.

The Tier 7 Challenger 1 Main Battle Tank is one of the toughest vehicles of its tier. Its thick armor allows it to shrug off most hits while the 120mm rifled cannon is more than capable of dealing punishment on its own. The Challenger 1 is ideal for players who like to enter the thickest fights head on, advancing relentlessly through hailstorms of shells.

Much like the BMD-2, the German Wiesel is an air-transportable light tracked scout vehicle. Its main task is to operate behind enemy lines and scout for heavier armor units. Armed with a powerful HOT missile launcher, the Wiesel can – thanks to its phenomenal mobility – outflank and defeat practically anything it encounters on the battlefield. In Armored Warfare, the Wiesel HOT Wolf is a fragile but very nimble and powerful Tier 7 Tank Destroyer. Its ability to outflank and outrun the enemy is second to none and, thanks to its small size, it can stay hidden for prolonged periods of time, attacking the enemy with its accurate HOT guided missiles at long distances.
