In this Community Interview issue, we have interviewed the Greek SFDL battalion, one of the largest Greek battalions of Armored Warfare.
When did you create your battalion and who founded it?
The Spot Fast Die Last Armored Warfare battalion was founded in mid-2015 by former World of Tanks SFDL players and grew to a successful team within the Greek community.
How did you get your name?
SFDL stands for Spot Fast Die Last.
Who is your leader and how does your ranking system work?
The battalion is led by our commander, giorgosrd. We also have various officers (field commander, recruitment e.g.). Ranks don’t matter too much in out battalion. What is important to us is to have good communication and mature members.
How many of you are there in the Battalion?
The battalion currently consists of 80 active players. There are a lot of Greek players who search for a battalion and we hope to attract them to allow our battalion to grow.
There are no Battalion Wars in Armored Warfare yet, what do you focus your activities on at the moment?
We play platoons together, training battles on daily basis and we are offering training to our members.
Will you take part in any future battalion-level content?
Absolutely, since the aim in a team strategy game is to compete with other teams. We are waiting for the opportunity to wage war against other battalions.
Armored Warfare has battalions and a mercenary story line background, how do like it or relate to it?
The game is interesting enough, but we are expecting new interesting items (new dealers, Battalion Wars for example) that will bring new players and keep the older players active. However, what I think will bring in more active players and battalions, is an alternative to the existing progress system. For example, one player can gather Reputatiton up to a specific percentage in PvE and then, in order to unlock the next Tier tank, he should play PvP. This way the game will attract more PvP players and it will get more interesting.
Are you recruiting and if so, what are the requirements?
Yes, we are always looking for new members. What we are interested in is the use of community Teamspeak when working as a team in a platoon, or solo gaming while chatting with others.

Did you have any special moments/experiences in Armored Warfare?
We participated in official tournaments and in Lords of War on the test server, earning rewards.
What are you offering to your members?
We are offering good company and experience and participation in tournaments and events in order to improve their skills.
Final question: what message do you want to get to other Armored Warfare players and battalions?
Enjoy the game, we do not need to scuffle and curse at each other. We learn from our mistakes.

Πότε δημιουργήσατε το battalion σας και ποιος το ίδρυσε?
Το Spot Fast Die Last Armored Warfare battalion ιδρύθηκε στα μέσα του 2015 από πρώην παίκτες της SFDL του World of Tanks και αναπτύχθηκε σε μία επιτυχημένη ομάδα μέσα στην Ελληνική κοινότητα.
Πως πήρατε το όνομα σας?
SFDL σημαίνει Εντόπισε Γρήγορα Πέθανε Τελευταίος. (Spot Fast Die Last)
Ποιος είναι ο ηγέτης σας και πως δουλεύει το σύστημα κατάταξης (Ιεραρχία)?
Το battalion ηγείται από τον αρχηγό μας, giorgosrd, επίσης έχουμε διάφορους αξιωματούχους (αρχηγό πεδίου, στρατολόγησης κ.λπ.). Τα προνόμια δεν έχουν τόση σημασία στο battalion μας. Το σημαντικό για μας είναι να έχουμε καλή επικοινωνία και ωριμότητα μεταξύ των μελών.
Πόσοι είστε στο Battalion?
Το battalion επί του παρόντος αποτελείται από 80 ενεργούς παίκτες. Υπάρχουν πολλοί Έλληνες παίκτες οι οποίοι ψάχνουν για battalion και ελπίζουμε να τους βρούμε για να μεγαλώσουμε.
Δεν υπάρχει Battalion Wars στο Armored Warfare ακόμα, σε τι επικεντρώνετε τις δραστηριότητες σας αυτή τη στιγμή?
Παίζουμε μαζί platoon, μάχες εκπαίδευσης σε καθημερινή βάση και προσφέρουμε εκπαίδευση στα μέλη μας.
Θα συμμετέχετε σε όποιο μελλοντικό περιεχόμενο σε επίπεδο battalion?
Οπωσδήποτε, από την στιγμή που ο στόχος σε ένα ομαδικό παιχνίδι στρατηγικής είναι να ανταγωνίζεσαι με άλλες ομάδες. Περιμένουμε ανυπόμονα να δοθεί η δυνατότητα να πολεμάμε εναντίον άλλων Battalion.
Το Armored Warfare έχει battalions και μία μισθοφορική ιστορία ως υπόβαθρο (φόντο) , σας αρέσει αυτό ή πως σχετίζεστε με αυτό?
Είναι ενδιαφέρον το παιχνίδι και αναμένουμε να προστεθούν νέα ενδιαφέροντα στοιχεία (νέοι έμποροι, clan war κ.λπ.)αυτό θα φέρει καινούριους παίκτες και θα κρατήσει ενεργούς τους παλαιότερους. Ωστόσο ,αυτό που νομίζω ότι θα φέρει περισσότερους ενεργούς παίκτες και battalions είναι η αλλαγή στο υπάρχον σύστημα προόδου. Για παράδειγμα κάποιος παίκτης μπορεί να συγκεντρώση xp μέχρι ένα συγκεκριμένο ποσοστό στο pve και μετά για να ξεκλειδώσει του επόμενου επιπέδου άρμα πρέπει να παίξει pvp. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο το παιχνίδι θα προσελκύσει περισσότερους pvp παίκτες και θα γίνει πιο ενδιαφέρον. Ωστόσο, για να γίνει αυτό η εταιρεία σας θα πρέπει να αναλάβει δράση προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση.
Στρατολογείτε και αν ναι, ποια είναι τα προαπαιτούμενα?
Ναι πάντα ψάχνουμε για νέα μέλη και αυτό που μας ενδιαφέρει είναι η είσοδος στο TS (team speak) της κοινότητας ώστε να δουλεύομε ως ομάδα με platoon ή μεμονωμένο παίξιμο με συζήτηση.

Είχατε οποιεσδήποτε ξεχωριστές στιγμές/εμπειρίες στο Armored Warfare?
Συμμετείχαμε σε επίσημα τουρνουά και στο test server στο lord of war αποκτώντας ανταμοιβές. Και αντιμετωπίζοντας καθημερινά παίκτες από ισχυρές και διακριθέντες Battalion,από τους οποίους πολλές φορές μαθαίνουμε από την στρατηγική που χρησιμοποιούν στο πεδίο της μάχης.

Προσφέρουμε καλή παρέα και εμπειρία, συμμέτοχή σε τουρνουά και δρώμενα με σκοπό να βελτιώσουν τις δεξιότητες τους .
